GPMG4500 Rimfire 22M-1000 Brushless Motor
TECH NOTES
This is the Great Planes ElectriFly RimFire Brushless Motor.
Ideal power upgrade for smaller 3D aerobats and flat foamies.
*** One Year Limited Warranty - USA & Canada Only ***
FEATURES: "Outrunner" design eliminates need for external gear drive for many
applications
Propeller mounting system eliminates need for prop adapter for many
applications (propeller is secured to motor shaft with O-rings)
Dual ball bearings, shielded on both sides
Strong Neodymium "rare earth" magnets for high output torque and one
of the highest temperature ratings in R/C at 302°F (150°C) for
longer life
INCLUDES: One Great Planes ElectriFly RimFire Brushless Motor
Three 3x5mm standard thread, round head mounting bolts
Two 2.6x10mm standard thread, flat head hex key bolts
Six small #10 rubber O-rings
REQUIRES: Electronic Speed Control for brushless motors, the BL-8 (GPMM2070)
is ideal for the RimFire 22M-1000 brushless motor for small 3D
flat foam airplanes
**Do not attempt to operate motor with ESC designed for brushed**
**motors. Permanent damage to motor will result.**

COMMENTS: Other ESCs for brushless motors include;
GPMM1800 SS8 8 AMP ESC
GPMM1810 SS12 12 AMP ESC
GPMM1820 SS25 25 AMP ESC
GPMM1830 SS35 35 AMP ESC
GPMM1840 SS45 45 AMP ESC
The "22M stands for the length of the Stator. The Stator being the
base section which mounts to the airplane, it has a cylindrical
shaft which runs up through the center. That shaft is 22mm long.
The "1000" stands for RPM per Volt.
This RimFire motor is capable of handling up to 11 amps of current.
And ElectriFly's BL-8 ESC (GPMM2070) puts out a maximum of 8 amps
of current. When putting a BL-8 ESC and a RimFire motor into any
ElectriFly FlatOut airplane AND USING THE RECOMMENDED PROP, the
motor/ESC system will not need more than 8 amps. The motor will
not try to draw more current than the BL-8 ESC can deliver WHEN THE
CORRECT SIZE OF PROPELLER IS USED. This motor/ESC combo is
perfectly matched to the performance of the FLATOUT SERIES OF
PLANES AND THEIR RECOMMENDED PROP SIZE as well as similar type
airplanes. However, when putting a RimFire in a bigger model
which WILL need more than 8 amps, the BL-8 ESC will not be
powerful enough to deliver the maximum current that the motor will
require, and a larger ESC will be necessary.
RECOMMENDED PROPS: For 2-cell Li-Po For 3-cell Li-Po

10x4.7 8x6
11x3.8 9x3.8
