TECH NOTES

This display boat is of the APPRENTICE series of Midwest boats.  They are
designed for the person with no prior experience building wood boats.  This
kit utilizes simple hand tools and basic building techniques that can be
applied to more advanced models for future building projects.

         display stand

Scale:  3/8 inch = 1 foot

This is a flat-bottomed shallow draft work boat from the early 1900's.  It was
used to haul produce and oysters down shoal creeks to the market.  This boat
has two sails.                                          
 

  
DISPLAY MODEL. MADE OF MAHOGANY, BIRCH AND BASSWOOD WITH BRASS FITTINGS AND
CLOTH SAILS. REQUIRES: SMALL HAND DRILL AND WET OR DRY SANDPAPER AND CARBON
