MID970   Midwest   Chesapeake Skiff

TECH NOTES

   This is a static display model of the Crabbing Skiff used along the northern
East Coast during the 1880's to the early 1900's.  This is a "Skill Level 1"
kit for modelers with none to little building experience.

FEATURES:
   Full size rolled plans and 48-page illustrated instruction manual
   Die-cut basswood, mahogany, and plywood parts
   Hardwood display base with die-cut cradle ends
   Complete fittings set (which includes: sail material, rigging cordage,
      plastic cleats and block, brass eyebolts, and cast metal pintles and
      gudgeons)

REQUIRES:
   Glues, hobby knife, hobby saw, paint, paintbrush, masking tape, T-pins,
   sandpaper, drill, needle nose pliers, and ruler.

COMMENTS:
   Kit is pictured on the box cover painted with Floquil Model Railroad lacquer
      paint (which we do not carry).  These paints are available at local
      hobby shops.  (Or use some other paints -- acrylics, etc).
KIT IS A STATIC DISPLAY WOOD MODEL.  REQUIRES GLUES AND BUILDING EQUIPMENT.
ALSO REQUIRES PAINT AND WOOD STAIN -- SEE OPTIONAL (#4) FOR SUGGESTED COLORS
