MMI14434 Minicraft 1/144 Douglas DC-3
TECH NOTES
This is a 1/144 Plastic Douglas DC-3 "Legends of Aviation" Model Kit from
Minicraft Models. It's for ages 10 and up.
In 1932, TWA circulated specifications for a tri-motor, 12 passenger transport to compete against the Boeing Model 247. The winner of the contest was the Douglas DC-1 which had the greatest capacity, speed and range of any of the competitors. The DC-2 and DC-3 soon followed with expanded load ability and more powerful engines. There is hardly an airline or air force in the world that hasn't employed the DC-3 at one point or another.
FEATURES: Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in light grey.
The exterior surface of the DC-3 is elaborately decorated with metal
plate seams, bolt heads, and various other minute details.
Detailed engine assemblies give the craft a wonderful sense of
realism.
The landing gear system is finely detailed.
Includes a clear windshield.
Detailed pictorial instructions guide you through assembly.
