TECH NOTES
        This is the Radio Controlled, Glow Powered, Balsa and Plywood
    Top Flite Gold Edition Elder .40 Sport Scale Aerobatic Airplane Kit.
                For Intermediate to Advanced Modeler/Flyers.
The Elder 40's Legacy began in 1985, when it was first introduced by Top Flite.

FEATURES: Top Flite is bringing back the Classic Elder 40, with one major
            distinction, Gold Edition CAD engineering.
          An Ideal Second model, can be flight ready in just a few weekends.
          Features assembly aids such as pre-shaped leading and trailing
            edges and built-up wing tips.
          Wings are one-piece, all wood with ailerons and plywood wing joiners.
          Spacious radio compartment allow easy radio gear installation and
            quick fuel tank access.
          The open rear section of the fuselage, with its truss work and
            gussets, further exemplifies the planes vintage heritage.
          Pre-formed, 0.12" (3mm) 2-piece wire landing gear provides excellent
            ground handling
          Optional wire wheels (sold separately) enhance the plane's authentic
            looks.
          Wooden parts are included for creating the flying wire braces shown
            on the box, used for attaching either elastic cord (not included)
            or for added realism, metal wire with miniature turnbuckles.

            kit to be free from defects in both materials and workmanship at
            the date of purchase.

INCLUDES: One Glow Powered Top Flite Gold Edition Elder .40 Sport Scale Kit
            with all wood to construct the airplane, pushrods, 0.12" (3mm)
            prebent wire landing gear, thin wire to wrap landing gear, nylon
            adjustable engine mount, hardware package, decals, photo-
            illustrated instructions, full-size rolled plans.

          Muffler: Engine mounts inverted, if using 4 stroke, stock muffler
                     of engine will work fine.

COMMENTS: The model pictured on the box is covered in off-white with thin
            stripes of red and blue on the vertical stabilizer.  To create the
            color scheme on the box use:
            2 six foot rolls of Cream (TOPQ0212)
            1 six foot roll of Red (TOPQ0201)
            1 six foot roll of Insignia Blue (TOPQ0207)

          The pilot and machine gun shown on the box are not included. A
            Williams Brothers 1/6th Scale Pilot (WBRQ2476) and the Williams
            Brothers Machine Gun (WBRQ3560) may be used.
